Bruce Lee The Tao of Gung Fu: Commentaries on the Chinese Martial Arts |
Bruce Lee was working on a definitive study of the Chinese martial arts in the months leading up to his death. The book was to be called "The Tao of Kung Fu" and would examine the history and philosophy of Kung Fu. Lee had been studying martial arts for more than 20 years and was considered an expert in the field. He hoped to dispel the myths and misconceptions that often surround Kung Fu.
Lee's death cut short his work on "The Tao of Kung Fu," but the book was eventually completed by his wife, Linda, and published in 1979. It is considered a classic in the field of Chinese martial arts literature.
